Paul A Mueller Sr.

Paul A. Mueller, Sr., age 86, of Litchfield IL, passed away at 1:16 a.m. on September 3, 2015 at his residence in Litchfield. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro IL.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at the funeral home.  Rev. Mike Rayson will officicate.  Burial will be in Bost Hill Cemetery in Fillmore, IL.

Mr. Muelller was born on June 15, 1929, in Breese Township, IL, to the late Frank & Christine (Schulte) Mueller.  He married Natalie Jo Huffman on Nov. 25, 1967 at First Methodist Church in Trenton, IL. She preceded in death on August 3, 2015.  He had worked as a prison guard at Stateville Correctional Center, retiring in 1985.  He then was manager of the Coal Field Rest Area from 1993 to 1997. Paul was a member of the United Methodist Church in  Joliet IL & Forrester Organization.  He was a gun owner and an expert sharp shooter.  He also was an avid baseball fan (any team) and loved to watch baseball.  He had lived in Breese, IL; Trenton, IL; Joliet, IL; New Baden, IL; came to Hillsboro, IL in 1986; then to Litchfield, IL in 2011.

Mr. Mueller is survived by three sons, Paul A. (wife Marie) Mueller Jr. of Hillsboro IL, Edgar Alan (wife Shawnda) Mueller of Springfield IL, Raymond Lee (wife Lynn) Mueller of Litchfield IL; eleven grandchildren, Nathan Allen Mueller, Edgar Alan Mueller, Jr, Cassandra Jeanette Mueller, Noah Thomas Mueller, Genevieve Kathleen Mueller, Madison Noelle Mueller, Kaylee Rose Mueller, Olivia Christine Mueller, Elizabeth Virraine Mueller, Elliott James Mueller and Alexander Lee Mueller and two great granchildren.  Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Gene, Henrietta, Lenora, Katheryn & Victor.
