Lorraine Marie Dzurovicin, 88, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 10:46 p.m. at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center, Taylor Springs, IL. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL. Father Dan Willenborg, Pastor of St. Louis Catholic Church, Nokomis, IL will officiate. Mrs. Dzurovicin's body was donated to science. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dzurovicin was born on June 27, 1926, in Taylor Springs, IL to the late Joseph and Mary Agnes (Reschak) Mehochko. She married Andrew "Bud" Dzurovicin on June 7, 1947, in Hillsboro, IL. He preceded her on October 11, 1990. Mrs. Dzurovicin attended Taylor Springs Grade School, Taylor Springs, IL and was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL. After she and her husband were married they moved to Long Beach, California and owned a restaurant before returning to Hillsboro, IL. The rest of her lifetime was spent in Taylor Springs, IL and Hillsboro, IL. She had worked as a secretary and in payroll for many years and also was a housewife. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL.
Mrs. Dzurovicin is survived by one son, Andrew J. (wife Lisa) Dzurovicin, III "Andy Joe"; one grandchild, Anastasia Dzurovicin, Coffeen, IL; two step grandchildren, Sheila (husband Scott) Stenger, Hanna City, IL and Andrew (wife Heather) Joos, Farmington, IL; five step great grandchildren and one sister, Dolores M. Mehochko, Edwards, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Raymond J. Mehochko and one sister, Mary Ann Vogel.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
