Evelyn "Joyce" Boehler, 82, of Litchfield, IL passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 3:38 a.m. at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center in Taylor Springs, IL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL. Burial will take place at St. Raymond Cemetery, Raymond, IL. Father Rodney Schwartz, Pastor of St.Patrick's Catholic Church, Pana, IL will officiate.
Mrs. Boehler was born on January 23, 1933, in Hillsboro, IL to the late Amiel V. and E. Evelyn (Siebert) Thacker. She was a 1951 graduate of Mulberry Grove High School, Mulberry Grove, IL. She married Aloysius "Wish" Boehler on May 31, 1953, in Coffeen, IL, and he preceded her on October 4, 2004. Mrs. Boehler was a housewife and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Litchfield, IL.
Mrs. Boehler is survived by three children, Charles F. (wife Patty) Boehler, Tamaroa, IL; Dolores A. (husband David) Sies, Litchfield, IL and Joseph V. (wife Beverly) Boehler, Litchfield, IL; one son-in-law, Brion Lingner, Staunton, IL; seven grandchildren, Dawn (husband Curt) Walch; Dan (wife Beth) Sies; Brent Boehler; Drew (wife Susan) Boehler; Jason (wife Kayli) Boehler; Nicholas Boehler and Tiffany Chambliss; six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Shirley Brackenbush, Springfield, IL and Sherrie Thacker, Springfield, IL.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, R. Rebecca Lingner on November 10, 2007, and one brother-in-law, Ercel Brackenbush.
Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association or Holy Family Catholic Church, Litchfield, IL.
