Betty was a dedicated farm wife for many years until retiring in 1991, when they moved to Glen Shoals Lake in Hillsboro, where she loved the view and flowers.  She also enjoyed traveling, which she was able to do more of as a travel agent for Village Travel.  For nearly 20 years she and her husband traveled to Mesa, Arizona to spend the winters.  They met many other wonderful “snowbirds” during their time there but always called Hillsboro home.

She was a member of Montgomery County Porkettes, Home Extension, Farm Bureau, St. Agnes Counsel of Catholic Women and Illinois Agri Business Women.

Betty is survived by her husband, Erval; children, Regina (husband Barry) Mong, Columbia, MD; Bernadine (husband Norman) Taylor, Fairfield, IL; Phillip (wife Karen) Borgic, Nokomis, IL; Jeffrey (wife Kelly) Borgic, Newton, IL; and Melisa (husband Johnny) Atkinson, Austin, TX; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by siblings, Harold (wife Faye) Weller, Hillsboro, IL; Joyce Ondrey, Witt, IL; Gary (wife Suzanne) Weller, Witt, IL and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church or a Cancer Fund.
