Rebecca Lynn (Boyd) Vincent

Rebecca Lynn Vincent, 54, of Hillsboro, IL passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, at 1:05 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL, with a Memorial Service being held at 7:30 p.m.  Pastor James Wagahoff, Pastor of Blessed Hope Baptist Church, Raymond, IL will officiate.  Cremation rites were accorded.  Burial will take place at Shiloh Cemetery, Coffeen, IL at a later date.

Becky was born on August 7, 1962, in Hillsboro, IL, the daughter of Dale Boyd and Daisy (Kramer) (husband Jim) Bruns, all of Hillsboro, IL.  Becky was a 1980 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a graduate of SIU in Edwardsville, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services.  Becky was employed as Facility Administrator at Victorian Manor in Taylorville, IL until June, 2015.  Becky married Dennis Vincent on July 1, 1985, in Orange, TX, and he survives in Hillsboro, IL.  She was a PAWS Care Volunteer, where she served as Vice-President until her illness prevented her from serving and enjoyed time with family and friends and also enjoyed yearly trips to Florida and frequent get-togethers with her group of friends, “The Hags”.  Becky lived her entire life in the Hillsboro area. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Becky is survived by her son, Michael Vincent (wife Anne Ekstrom) of Champaign, IL; her daughter, Rachel Vincent, brother, Ed (wife Susan) Boyd, all of Hillsboro, IL, and sister, Laura Boyd, of Litchfield, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
