Kent Howard Keepper, 65, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016, at 1:20 p.m. at Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care Center, Hillsboro, IL. A Family Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Wares Grove Cemetery, Butler, IL. Rev. Ralph Ward, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Keepper was born on October 27, 1950, in Hillsboro, IL to the late Howard W. and Ruth La Verne (Short) Keepper. He attended the Illinois School for the Deaf and graduated from Gallaudet University in 1976 with an Accounting Degree and became a CPA. He worked as a civilian for the Department of Navy as a CPA. Mr. Keepper married Dora Ing, and they later divorced.
Mr. Keepper is survived by one sister, Kay (husband Michael "Mick") Neely; one brother, Lynn (wife Paula) Keepper; one niece, Andrea (husband Chuck) Durbin; one nephew, Bryan (wife Jessica) Keepper, and great nieces and nephew, Skylar and Conner Durbin and Sharayah Tatham, all of Hillsboro, IL.
Memorials may be given to INAD Research, Washington University, St. Louis, MO.
