Irene M. Reck, 92, of Hillsboro, IL, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL. The Very Rev. James L. Neuman, V.F., Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August, 18, 2016 at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL
Mrs. Reck was born August 6, 1923 in Hillsboro, IL, the daughter of the late Emil and Emma M. (Maninfior) Piazza. She was a 1941 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. She married Virgil Reck on June 5, 1943 at St. Agnes Church in Hillsboro, IL. He preceded her on May 11, 2008. Mrs. Reck was a homemaker and a co-owner and bookkeeper for Reck and Sons Tile Company. She loved to cook and spend time with family.
She is survived by her children, Susan (husband Gene) White of Hillsboro, IL; Randy Reck (companion Lisa Robison) of Hillsboro, IL; and David (wife Lynda) Reck of Sebring, FL; her grandchildren, Beth (husband Brandon) Wille, Angie (husband Jeff) Eickhoff, Gina (husband Jason) Burke, Matthew (wife Whitney) Reck, Andrew Reck (fiancé Emily Sinclair), Daniel Reck (companion Miranda Loschen), Cameron Reck and Lyndsey Reck; and great-grandchildren, Ray and Aaron Wille, Alex and Maddie Eickhoff, Connor Reck and Camden Burke.
She was preceded by her parents, husband and a sister, Dorothy Gray.
Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association or Montgomery County Cancer Association.
