Hiram W. Renfro, 75, of Mount Olive, IL passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Center in Hillsboro, IL. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at World Harvest Church in Hillsboro, IL.
Mr. Renfro was born on March 22, 1940 in Greenville, IL, son of Earl and Arvilla (Mullen) Renfro. He was a prison guard for the State of Illinois in Joliet, IL and was a custodian at Unit District #3 in Hillsboro, IL. He was a member of AmVets, he loved to garden, grow roses, riding his lawn mower and he loved his dog, Lily.
Mr. Renfro is survived by his wife, Janis Renfro of Mount Olive; his children, Sherry (husband Mike) Thomas of Hillsboro; Rosemary (husband Mike) Guinn of Hillsboro, IL; Hiram (finance Robin Thunhorst) Renfro, Jr. of Hillsboro, IL; and Michael C. (wife Melissa) Renfro of Hillsboro; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Connie Blankenship and Rose Flack.
He was preceded by his parents, his first wife, Mary L. Williams, brother, Charles Renfro and sister, Charlotte Renfro.
