Chauncey Myron Edwards

Chauncey M. Edwards, 104, of Donnellson, IL passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Rev. Ralph Ward, of Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.  Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Reno, IL.

Mr. Edwards was born on January 15, 1912, in Reno, IL, to the late Roy & Elwood (Caulk) Edwards.  He married Blanche R. Spies in Hillsboro, IL in 1935.  She preceded him in death on January 4, 2011.  Mr. Edwards had worked as a farmer and was retired from Pet Milk Co. in Greenville, IL.  He had lived in Reno, IL & Donnellson, IL most of his life.

Mr. Edwards is survived by four children, Billy G. (wife Kathryn) Edwards of Highland, IL, Dixie L. (husband Mannie) Gaston of Lincoln, IL, Deanna G. (husband Jerry) Sullivan of Springfield, IL & Gary D. (wife Shirley) Edwards of Litchfield, IL; fourteen grandchildren,  several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.  Along with his parents and wife, Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by two grandchildren; one brother, Paul Edwards and two sisters, Ruby Edwards & Faye Whitlock.
