Kathy Dagon

Kathy Dagon, 66, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015, at 4:42 p.m. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Hillsboro, IL.  Funeral services will be Sunday, April 19, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Hillsboro, IL.  Rev. Joy Caschetta, Pastor of United Methodist Church, Hillsboro, IL will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL.  Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Kathy Dagon was born on June 4, 1948, to the late William & June (Hill) Dagon.  She was a 1966 graduate of Hillsboro High School.  She attended Greenville College, Greenville, IL where she attained a Bachelor's Degree in Education.  She went on to attain her Master's Degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, IL.  She was a school teacher for many years for the Hillsboro School District, where she also taught at the Irving School.  Kathy was a member of the United Methodist Church, Hillsboro, IL; Business and Professional Women's Club, later known at Ladies' Civic Club, and was very involved with Hillsboro's Old Settler's Celebration for many years.  She loved to travel and was a Disney World Annual Pass Holder.

Kathy is survived by one brother, Mike (wife Myra Jean) Dagon, of Butler, IL; one sister, Mary Dagon, of Belleville, IL; two nephews, Patrick (wife Emily) Dagon and Kevin Dagon and one great-nephew, Nathaniel Dagon.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, William & June Dagon.
