Herman L. Bellaver, 76, of Carbondale, IL, formerly of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 12:05 p.m. at Manor Court Skilled Nursing & Rehab, Carbondale, IL. Cremation rites were accorded. Burial will take place at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL.
Mr. Bellaver was born on December 7, 1939, to the late John and Lorene (Henneke) Bellaver. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in education and a Master's Degree in education/library media from SIU/Carbondale. After retiring from education, he moved from Longmont, CO back to Carbondale, IL. He enjoyed Saluki football and basketball and was a season ticket holder for many years.
Mr. Bellaver is survived by one brother, Norman Bellaver, Hillsboro, IL and one sister, Corrine (husband Guy) Sheridan, Hillsboro, IL.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Tobias and Norma Longworth; and brothers, Ramon Bellaver and a brother in infancy.
