Wilma Jeannette Lipe, 101, of Raymond, IL passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 3:38 a.m. at her residence. Private Family services will be held. Rev. John Jaffry, Pastor of Ware’s Grove Lutheran Church in Butler, IL will officiate. Burial will be in Ware’s Grove Cemetery in Butler, IL.
Mrs. Lipe was born on May 31, 1920 in Butler Grove Township, IL to the late Roy William and Lulu Eliza (Klien) Niehaus. She live in Missouri then Butler Grove Township, IL. She married Vernon Junior Lipe on October 11, 1939 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, IL; he preceded on June 6, 2010. She was a member of Ware’s Grove Lutheran Church in Butler, IL; Ware’s Grove Community Aid; and Montgomery County Farm Bureau. She loved quilting, gardening, painting, and woodworking.
Mrs. Lipe is survived by her children, Sharon Walk of Carlinville, IL; Wanda Bee of Hillsboro, IL; Judith (husband Robert) Stieren of Florida; Larry (wife Shirley) Lipe of Raymond, IL; Kenneth (wife Beverly) Lipe of Raymond, IL; Dale Lipe of Normal, IL; and her son-in-law, Harry Diehl of Tennessee; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Lipe is preceded by her daughter, Roberta Diehl; her son-in-law, Thomas Bee; two grandchildren, Joseph Bee and Brian Lipe; three sisters; and one brother.
Memorials may be given to Raymond Harvel Ambulance Service or Ware’s Grove Cemetery Association.
