Wanda Mae (Asbury) Irvin 95, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 8:25 p.m. in Litchfield, IL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Irvin, one of nine children, was born on February 14, 1927, in Omaha, AR to the late Joe & Ruby (Molder) Asbury. Mrs. Irvin was a School of the Ozarks High School graduate. Mrs. Irvin married the love of her life, S.R. Irvin on December 20, 1947 in Meredosia, IL, they had been married for almost 60 years, he preceded her on January 7, 2007. She was a house wife and homemaker, and member of Calvary Baptist Church; She enjoyed sewing and gardening, and loved her flowers. She read the bible and loved fishing and having fish fries. She never worked outside the home but she always said she chose the “good-part,” being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful and dedicated Christian and a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was a W.M.U. Camp Counselor and a Vacation Bible School Teacher for 38 years. She accompanied her husband on several mission trips and remained an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. She had lived in Meredosia, IL; Hillsboro, IL; and Litchfield, IL with her son, Lloyd.

Mrs. Irvin is survived by her children Bud “B.J.” Irvin of Hillsboro, IL and Lloyd (wife, Frieda “De De”) Irvin of Litchfield, IL; Two Grandchildren; Five Great-Grandchildren; Three Great-Great Grandchildren; One Brother, Kenny Asbury and One Sister, Shirley Shinnebarger. She was preceded in death by her parents, late Joe & Ruby (Molder) Asbury and Step-Father, Roy Baldwin, her husband, S.R. Irvin, her grandson, Anthony Wayne Irvin, as well as Three Brothers and Three Sisters.
