Violet (Richmond) Patton, 74, of Fillmore, IL, was called to heaven Friday, May 31, 2024 at 7:52 p.m. at Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL. She gained her wings, she has no pain anymore, and is dancing and singing with friends and family. Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Pastor Jerry Woods of First United Pentecostal Church of Schram City, IL, will officiate.
Violet was born on October 20, 1949 to Ira Lee and Clara Susan (Uhlry) Richmond, both have preceded in death. She married James R. Patton Sr. on June 21, 1985, in Hillsboro, IL. He survives in Fillmore, IL. Violet was a housewife and home maker first but she also worked as a CNA at several local nursing homes and later as a clerk at Casey’s in Pana.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Patton Sr.; her children, Lennette (husband Mike) McBroom of Nokomis, IL, Michelle Bass (fiancé Mike Moler) of Schram City, IL, David (wife Michelle) Bass of Fillmore, IL, Mike (wife Mary) Patton of Olhman, IL, and James (wife Jennifer) Patton Jr. of New Castle, PA.; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Angela Sue (Patton) Bell.
