Vincent Lee Calufetti, 61, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 3:30 a.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL. Father Daniel Willenborg, Pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.
Mr. Calufetti was born on June 4, 1960 in Hillsboro, IL, to David Charles and Shirley Mae (Caulk) Calufetti, Sr. His father preceded in death on August 28, 2019, and his mother survives in Hillsboro, IL. He was a 1978 graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL, and received his B.S. in Psychology and Master’s in Business Economics at Arizona State University. He had worked at Bank of America in Arizona, and then worked at Wells Fargo, in the fraud unit, in Arizona. He had also worked for Arizona State Senator John McCain. Mr. Calufetti lived in Panama, IL, Phoenix, AZ, and then Hillsboro, IL. He was a member of the Laveen Lions in Laveen, AZ, and Boy Scouts. He loved star gazing and astronomy, Formula 1 racing, St. Louis Cardinals & Arizona Diamond Backs baseball, and he was an artist who loved to paint.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Calufetti is survived by his four siblings, David Charles (wife Connie) Calufetti, Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; Robin (husband David) Loucks of Hillsboro, IL; Mark (wife Diane) Calufetti of Maryland; and Maria Calufetti of Hillsboro, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for Muscular Dystrophy.
