Tom Petcher

Tom Petcher, 81, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 8:37 p.m., at his residence.  A graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL. Don Hudelson will officiate.

Mr. Petcher was born on June 18, 1943, in Hillsboro, IL, to the late John A. and Mildred Ione (Roach) Petcher, Sr.  He had owned and operated a sanitation business and also owned a car wash.  Mr. Petcher was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL and loved to play shuffle board, belonging to a shuffle board club, travel, motorcycles and 4 wheelers.  He had lived in Hillsboro, IL area most of his life other than spending winters in Florida.

Mr. Petcher is survived by his children, Shelley McCroan, Christopher Zupanci, Michelle Williams and Erica Petcher; grandchildren & great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Seaton, Jane Hahnenkamp and Susan (husband, Gary) Hudelson; sister-in-law, Hazel Petcher and several nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Mike Petcher, Harry Petcher and John Petcher Jr.; brothers-in-law, Robert Seaton and Bill Hahnenkamp and sister-in-law, Millie Petcher.
