Thomas Gerald Mikolasek, 65, of Litchfield, IL passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 3:01 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. Cremation rites were accorded. A private family service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Jeff Hemken, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL will officiate.
Mr. Mikolasek was born on August 28, 1954 in Hillsboro, IL to the late of Adolph Gerald & Opal R. (Boyd) Mikolasek. He was a 1972 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Mikolasek married April Bugg on August 28, 1981 in Hillsboro, IL and she survives in Litchfield, IL. He worked as a truck driver for many area companies. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL where he was a deacon and a sound tech; he was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 965 Union in Springfield, IL; He loved riding motorcycles, traveling and driving. He loved his dog and he was a family man. Mr. Mikolasek had lived in Hillsboro, IL and Litchfield, IL during his lifetime.
Mr. Mikolasek is survived by his wife, April Mikolasek; his children, Rochelle Mutchler of Litchfield, IL; Glenda (husband, Bob) Fenton of Hillsboro, IL and Andrea (husband, Aaron) Savage of Hillsboro, IL; his grandchildren, Ashlea (husband, Steven) Duncan, Zach Stevens, Dagan Stevens, Tatum Fenton and Tessa Fenton; one great grandchild, Kase Duncan; as well as his sisters, Patricia Gaddy of Olney, IL & Rose Mikolasek of Taylorville, IL.
