Stephen Donald Davis

Stephen Donald Davis 57, of Pocahontas, IL passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 12:04 a.m. St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, IL. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Burial will be held at Ware’s Grove Cemetery in Butler, IL. A meal will be following burial at Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Randy Sands, Pastor of Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro, IL will officiate.

Mr. Davis was born on July 28, 1965 in Hillsboro, IL to Donald Earl Davis, who survives in Glen Carbon, IL, and Beverley Beatrice (Bowman) Davis, who preceded on November 22, 2021. He was a Hillsboro High School graduate, Class of 1983, and went on to attend Florissant Valley Community College, where he attained his Electrician Certification. Mr. Davis had worked as a Carman at Norfolk Southern Railroad. He married Crista McLean on November 6, 1993 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Staunton, IL, and she survives in Pocahontas, IL. Mr. Davis was a member of the Grantfork Volunteer Fire Department, and he attended Mosaic Church in Highland, IL. He had lived in Hillsboro, IL; Edwardsville, IL; Alhambra, IL; and Pocahontas, IL during his lifetime.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Crista Davis of Pocahontas, IL; his father, Donald Earl Davis of Glen Carbon, IL; daughters, Emily Davis and Jessica Davis; brothers and sisters, Terri (husband Don) Satterlee Jr. of Marine, IL, Jayne (husband Alan) Crews of Glen Carbon, IL; and Michael (wife Billie) Davis of Fillmore, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his mother, Beverley Beatrice (Bowman) Davis.
