Sandra Sue (Porter) Hand

Sandra Sue (Porter) Hand, 71, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2014 at 7:29 a.m. in Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL, with memorial service to begin at 11:00 a.m. also at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home. Austin Fairchild, Chaplin for Vitas Hospice, will officiate. Inurnment will be in Cress Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL. 

Sandra was born June 8, 1953 in Hillsboro, IL, to William Porter and Frances (Yantis) Porter Hanauer. Both have preceded in death. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. She went on to marry Timothy Hand on July 14, 1979 in Hillsboro, IL. He preceded April 8, 2021. She worked for the  Illinois Department of Revenue in Springfield, IL as a tax specialist. She also loved needlepoint and crafts in general, loved St. Louis Cardinal Baseball and University of Illinois Fighting Illini. During her life she lived in Hillsboro and Sherman, IL.

Mrs. Hand is survived by her son, Zachary (wife Tracy) Hand of Aurora, IL and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
