Ruth Anne Dykes

Ruth Anne Dykes, age 79, of Hillsboro IL, passed away on November 3, 2020 at her residence. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro IL, with Father Daniel Willenborg, pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church as Celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Hillsboro IL.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro IL.

Ruth Anne was born on February 24, 1941 at Bay City MI to the late Edmund and Calista (Spencer) Coyer. She was a graduate of Handy High School in Bay City MI.  She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro; Quilting Club and Senior Achievers at St. Agnes Catholic Church; Council of Catholic Women and Fusion.  Ruth Anne did sewing of dresses for children in under privileged countries, was an excellent cook and loved to spend time with family/grandchildren/great grandchildren. She had been a homemaker and lived in Michigan, moving to Decatur IL in 1965; and then to Hillsboro in l989.  Her marriage to David E. Dykes took place on October 5, 1963 at Bay City MI and he preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her four children, Jamie Bybee, Cary IL; Ann (husband Jim) Green, Decatur IL; David Dykes, Hillsboro; Bobbi (husband Mike) Saathoff, Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Jacob Bybee, Travis Green, Alexandra Bybee, Sara Saathoff, Aaron Dykes, Chase Saathoff; three great grandchildren, Colt Green, Peyton Bybee, Izabella Green; three sisters, Susan Purdy, Caroline Peterson and Mary Tallinger all of Michigan.  Preceding in death were two brothers, James Coyer and Edmund Coyer.

Memorials are suggested to Donor's Choice.
