Rosella Marie Long, 68, of Taylor Springs, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2024 at 11:21 a.m., at Hillsboro Health in Hillsboro, Illinois. Visitation for Mrs. Long will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024, both services will be held at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Illinois. Randy Sands, of Hillsboro, Illinois will be officiating. Burial will be held at Union Grove Cemetery in Bond County, Illinois.
Rosella was born on September 2, 1956, in Litchfield, Illinois, to David and Rose (Renfro) Flack. She was 1975 graduate of Hillsboro High School and called Taylor Springs “home” for her entire life. Mrs. Long was an aide at Dr. Zumwalt’s Chiropractic Clinic in Hillsboro, Illinois. On August 19, 1989, Rosella married Larry Long in Hillsboro, Illinois and he survives. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Litchfield; an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and really enjoyed camping. You could also find Rosella in the kitchen, finding new recipes to bring to life.
Mrs. Long is survived by her husband; mother, Rose Flack; her four children, Daniel (wife, Heather) Garrett Jr of Litchfield, Illinois, Christy Hay of Hillsboro, Illinois, Michael (wife, Becky) Long of Peron, Illinois, and Christy Hunter; eleven grandchildren; siblings, Earl Flack, Patricia Flack, Carol Lipe, and Ruby Clark; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her father, David N. Flack and brother, David F. Flack.
