Ronald Dean Compton

Ronald D. Compton, 63, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at his residence.  Cremation rites were accorded and no services are planned at this time.

Mr. Compton was born October 9, 1956, to Richard E. & Wanda (Carlock) Compton.  Wanda survives in Hillsboro, IL and Richard preceded in death on May 6, 2011.  He is a 1974 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL and had worked as a welder for construction.  He married Cathy Hoffman, on April 29, 2013, in Panama, IL and she survives in Hillsboro, IL.  Mr. Compton was a member of the Hillsbhoro Country Club in Hillsboro, IL and had lived in Decatur, IL; Augusta, GA; Southern IL and Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Compton is survived by his mother, Wanda Compton of Hillsboro, IL; his wife, Cathy Compton of Hillsboro, IL; one daughter, Brandy Rae Compton of Coffeen, IL; one brother, Richard “Dick” (wife, Ida) Compton of Hillsboro, IL and two sisters, Kay (husband, Bill) Hefley of Hillsboro, IL & Barbara (husband, Jim) Mack of Barnhart, MO.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Compton.
