Robert "Bob" John Campbell

Robert “Bob” John Campbell, age 80, of Hillsboro, Illinois passed away on February 2, 2025, at 5:37 p.m. at University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Memorial Visitation for Mr. Campbell will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Illinois. A private family internment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL at a later date.

Mr. Campbell was born on March 13, 1944, in Virden, Illinois to the late Frank Dee and Lucille Rose (Gilbert) Campbell. He worked as the Delivery Man for Interstate Brands/Butternut Bread Company for 33 years. On June 10, 1965, Bob married the former Jennifer L. Brown at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Illinois and they celebrated 59 years of marriage. They were members of the Taylor Springs Baptist Church. He thoroughly enjoyed having his coffee with friends at the Cozy Café, mowing lawns, watching western movies, and anything involving St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

In addition to his wife Jennifer, Mr. Campbell is survived by his son, Robert (wife, Jamie) Campbell of Irving, Illinois and daughter, Tammy (husband, Ronnie) Whitlow of Gibson City, Illinois; grandchildren; Seth (Kat) Hull, Travis (Della) Hull, Brett (Sarah) Campbell, Brittany (Nick) Campbell, Laurel (Indy) Campbell, and Aaron (Sarah) Whitlow; great-grandchildren, David, Eden, Reece, Justice, Cooper, Page, Leyton, Grayson, Myla, and Kaisen; siblings, Dan (Loretta) Campbell of Auburn, IL, Charles Campbell of Irving, IL, Mary Roach of Mt. Olive, IL, and Doris (Norman) Hamby of Hillsboro, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
