Robert G Lentz

Robert G. Lentz, 86, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 2:20 p.m. at his residence. Cremation rites were accorded and no services are being held at this time.  

Mr. Lentz was born on November 7, 1935 in Hillsboro, IL to the late William W. and Viola May (Adamson) Lentz, Sr. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL and had a career as a truck driver. Mr. Lentz was a U.S. Army Veteran. He married Betty O’Brien in Morrisonville, IL; they later divorced. He later married Nellie Mae Lilly in Arkansas; she preceded on January 13, 2018. Mr. Lentz had lived in Hillsboro, IL, Arkansas, and Harvel, IL during his lifetime.

Mr. Lentz is survived by his children, Pam (husband Billy) Ernest of Springfield, IL and Debbie (husband Dwane) Dugan of Harvel, IL; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles E. Lentz of Hillsboro, IL. He was preceded by his parents, William W. and Viola May (Adamson) Lentz, Sr., his wife- Nellie Mae Lentz, his son- Larry Lentz, and his siblings William W. Lentz, Jr., Rhonda Durbin, and Floyd “Butch” Lentz.
