Richard J. Pokorney

Richard Joseph Pokorney, 59, of Gillespie, IL, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at his residence.  Cremation rites were accorded and no services are planned at this time.

Mr. Pokorney was born on December 15, 1962, in Litchfield, IL, to the late Raymond Pokorney & Loretta (Daugherty) Pokorney.  He had worked as a laborer and had owned his own business doing handyman work.

Mr. Pokorney is survived by his children, Amber, Josh, Ricky, Tracy, Andrea and Ashley and grandchildren, Amelia, Hazel, Morgan and Kolten.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Pokorney & Loretta (Daugherty) Pokorney Elliot; stepfather, Wayne Elliot; son, Derick; sister, Tracy; and uncles, Roy Daugherty Jr. and Larry Daugherty.
