Peggy Louise (Duncan) White

Peggy Louise (Duncan) White, 96, of Coffeen, IL passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at 7:50 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. Cremation rites were accorded and services will be planned for a later date with burial in Green Hill Cemetery in Van Burensburg, IL.

Mrs. White was born February 16, 1927 in Robinson, IL to George and Mary (Mills) Duncan. Peggy graduated from Robinson High School, Robinson, IL. She went on to marry Mr. Paul E. White on March 12, 1945 in Robinson, IL. They were married for 73 years before his passing on December 6, 2021. She spent most of her life in Robinson, IL, Hillsboro, IL, and Coffeen, IL. She Worked for Heath Candy Company in Robinson, IL. and then retired as a cook from Coffeen Grade School after 17 years. Peggy had a love for Bingo and enjoyed her family very much.

She is survived by her three sons, Rex E. (wife, Sandra) White of Litchfield, IL; Gary W. (wife, Pamela) White of Benld, IL; Randy P. (wife, Barbara) White of Fillmore, IL; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, as well as her Sister, Doris L. Harrison of Robinson, IL, Brother- in- Laws, Edward (wife, Pat) White of Robinson, IL; Hugh (wife, Celeste) White of Annapolis, IL; and Sister-in-law, Louise (husband, Donald) Williamson of Robinson, IL. Mrs. White was preceded by her Husband, Parents and Brother-in-Law, Harold Harrison.

Memorials may be given to Coffeen Food Pantry.
