Paulette M. (Furness) Gabriel

Paulette M. Gabriel, 72, of Litchfield, IL, formerly of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 8:05 a.m., at Litchfield, Health and Rehab in Litchfield, IL.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at United Methodist Church in Witt, IL.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at United Methodist Church in Witt, IL.  Pastor Jay Martin will officiate.  Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery in Nokomis, IL at a later date.

Ms. Gabriel was born on October 12, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Harold and Hazel (Snyder) Furness.  She was a graduate of Witt High School in Witt, IL and was retired from the Montgomery County Circuit Clerk Office in Hillsboro, IL.  She married William “Bill” Gabriel at the United Methodist Church in Witt, IL and he preceded her in death.  Ms. Gabriel was a member of the United Methodist Church in Witt, IL and had lived in Witt, IL; Springfield, IL and Hillsboro, IL during her lifetime.  

Ms. Gabriel is survived by her three children, Stacey Gabriel of Centralia, IL; Kent Gabriel of St Louis, MO and Dane Gabriel of Centralia, IL; three siblings, Denise (husband, Tom) Kistner of Witt, IL; Darla (husband, Randy) McFarlin of Hillsboro, IL and Kirby (wife, Beth) Furness of Irving; IL and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to United Methodist Church in Witt, IL or American Diabetes Association.
