Olin L Settle

Olin L. Settle, 95, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:45 a.m. at his residence. A private family graveside service will be held at Irving Cemetery in Irving, IL.

Mr. Settle was born on December 9, 1924 in Hillsboro, IL to the late Raymond & Gladys (House) Settle. Mr. Settle married Betty Louise White on March 6, 1947 in Hillsboro, IL and she survives in Hillsboro, IL. He had retired from Shell Oil Company in Wood River, IL; and had also worked as a farmer. Mr. Settle was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He had lived in the Hillsboro area his entire life.

Along with his wife, Mr. Settle is survived by his son, Russell L. (wife, Michelle) Settle of Irving, IL; three grandchildren- Brent Allan Settle, Daniel Lee Settle, and Morgan Brittnee Settle; as well as one sister, Audrey Keith. Mr. Settle was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Gladys (House) Settle and one son, Lawrence E. Settle.
