Nancy (File) Schraut

Nancy Schraut, 79, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 9:07 a.m., surrounded by her family at her residence.  Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Union Grove Cemetery in Bond County, IL. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL, to proceed to the cemetery. Pastor Donna Kazenske of All Nations Worship Center in Litchfield, IL, will officiate.

Mrs. Schraut was born October 25, 1944, in Bond County, IL, to the late Eudell & Elsie (Merry) File.  She was a Graduate of Bond County High School in Greenville, IL and served in the Army, at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, from 1963 to 1966.  She married R. Lee Schraut, in 1968, and they later divorced.  Mrs. Schraut loved being Homemaker and a Mom.  She attended All Nations Worship Center in Litchfield, IL, was a women of faith, an avid reader and an animal lover.  Mrs Schraut was born in Bond County, IL then spent most of her adult life in Hillsboro, IL. 

Mrs. Schraut is survived by her much loved son, Stacey Schraut of Hillsboro, IL; five siblings, Owen File of Hillsboro, IL; Sharen Huisman of Donnellson, IL; Kay Smith of Ste. Genevieve, MO; Wayne File of St. Louis, MO and Mary Teegarden of Cedar Rapids, IA and her beloved Chihuahua, “Sparky”, who was with her till the end.
