Myron Dale Tuetken, 94, of Irving, IL passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Tremont Ridge in Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 28, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Service will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Rural Nokomis, IL. with visitation before the funeral service from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Rev. Chris Prumm, Pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Rural Nokomis, IL will Officiate. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.
Myron was born February 23, 1929 in Witt, IL to Fred and Louise (Detmers) Tuetken. He married Berniece Epley April 27, 1957 in Nokomis, IL. She survives in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Tuetken lived in the Irving, IL area most of his lifetime. He worked as a Farmer and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Rural Nokomis, IL, American Legion Irving, IL Post, and Farm Bureau. Myron was a past Nokomis Grain Elevator Board member, he loved to bowl and bowled for 40 years at Nokomis Town Pump Bowl in Nokomis, IL. Myron was an avid Illini basketball fan, and a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Kevin (Wife, Gail) Tuetken of Hillsboro, IL, Kent (Wife, Rosemary) Tuetken of Irving, IL, Kurt (Wife, Dana) Tuetken of Oviedo, FL, Kathy (Husband, Tom) Joyce of Irving, IL, Karen (Husband, Larry) Lemon of Hillsboro, IL; his grandchildren Lucas (wife, Megan) Tuetken, Shea (wife, Alayna) Tuetken, Josh Tuetken, Jeremy Tuetken (companion, Bailey Heintz), Jordan Tuetken, Ashley (husband, Kevin) Pennell, Kellie Tuetken, Zachary (wife, Jacque) Tuetken, Casey Tuetken, Anthony Tuetken, Koby Lemon, and Kaden Lemon; and great grandchildren Jackson, Harrison, Sloan, Kaleb, Kyla, Elyse, Emmy, Haisley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Lester Tuetken and sister Lavonne Meier.
