Michael Elbert Goodman, 72, of Walshville, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 12:08 p.m. at his residence. Cremation Rites were accorded and no services are to be held at this time.
Mr. Goodman was born on October 17, 1948, to the late Elvin and Ruth E. (Harrington) Goodman. He was a graduate of Granite City High School in Granite City, IL. He married Sandra J. Cowan on December 27, 1972 in Granite City, IL and she survives in Walshville, IL. Mr. Goodman was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He had worked as a police officer for Pontoon Beach, IL and he owned Mike & Sandy’s Tavern in Panama, IL. Mr. Goodman had lived in Pontoon Beach, IL and Walshville, IL during his lifetime.
In addition to his wife, Sandra Goodman, Mr. Goodman is survived by his children, Joseph Dickie of Granite City, IL and Melissa Smith-Pace (husband, Anthony Pace) of Greenville, IL, as well as five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, and his brother, Anthony Goodman of Jackson, MO. He was preceded by his parents and one brother and one sister.
