Mary Lou (Wesner) Fowler, 89, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:35 a.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Michael Lawton, Pastor of United Methodist Church of Hillsboro, IL will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.
Ms. Fowler was born on January 3, 1933 in Terre Haute, IN to the late Dennis S. and Mary Esther (Tuttle) Wesner. She graduated from high school and attended beauty school. She owned and operated Personal Touch Bridal Shop in Hillsboro, IL and in her earlier career she worked as a beautician and in medical assistance. She married Howard Marion Fowler on June 23, 1950 in Robinson, IL; he preceded on February 22, 2017. She lived in Robinson, IL and Hillsboro, IL during her life. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hillsboro, IL and Fusion Fitness and Aquatics. She enjoyed playing piano and cooking. Any time someone would stop by, she had to feed them.
Ms. Fowler is survived by her children, Kevin Howard Fowler of Springfield, IL and Stacey Dawn Fowler (wife Heather Favale) of Shorewood, IL; and one granddaughter, Addison Fowler-Favale.
Ms. Fowler is preceded by her parents, her husband Howard, and her brother, Monty Wesner.
Memorials may be given to the Montgomery County Cancer Association (MCCA) or the Alzheimer’s Association.
