Mark William Novotny

Mark William Nonotny, 62, of Coffeen, IL, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 6:46 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL at a later date.

Mr. Novotny was born on October 23, 1957 in Hillsboro, IL to the late William & Theodora “Ti” (Marcolini) Novotny. Mr. Novotny was a 1975 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. He worked as a Laborer out of Local #1084 in Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Novotny married Tammy Lawson on June 14, 1979 in Hillsboro, IL; she preceded in death on July 18, 2020. He had lived in Montgomery County, IL his entire life.

Mr. Novotny is survived by one son, Lucas Mark Novotny of Cabot, AR; two grandchildren, Jossilea Taylor DeBardeleben and Rylea Carol DeBardeleben; one half-brother, William E. Cannon of Summit, MO; along with his parents and wife, Mr. Novotny was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandi Lea Novotny.
