Marilyn M. Snoddy, 85, of Schram City, IL passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at 2:40 p.m., at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. James Hayes, Pastor of St. James Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Barbara’s Cemetery in Witt, IL.
Mrs. Snoddy was born on February 5, 1934, in Witt, IL, to the late John & Fannie (Mindrup) Miller. She was a graduate of Witt High School in Witt, IL. She was married to Henry M. “Bud” Snoddy, on September 4, 1958, at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church in Witt, IL. He preceded in death on January 31, 2018. She and her husband owned and operated Snoddy Sanitation and she had driven a school bus for Hillsboro School District in Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. Snoddy had attended catholic church as a child. She loved being with her grandchildren and her dogs.
Mrs. Snoddy is survived by two sons, John Snoddy of Hillsboro, IL & Ronald (wife Crystal) Snoddy of Hillsboro, IL; ex-daughter-in-law, Terri Snoddy of Hillsboro, IL; two grandchildren, Ridge Snoddy (fiancé Abby Paden) & Kenna Snoddy; two step grandchildren, Jordyn Finley & Dalton Finley; one step great grandchild, Braxton Finley; one sister, Wilma Jean Pilgrim of Rosewood Heights, IL; one sister-in-law, Ruby Miller of Witt, IL and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Miller and one sister Ruby Egelhoff.
