Marilyn Louise Sitton, 92, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 8:23 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Matt Ferguson, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, IL will officiate. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.
Ms. Sitton was born on May 12, 1929 in Edwardsville, IL to the late Arthur and Hannah (Dustman) Fiegenbaum. She graduated from Edwardsville High School in Edwardsville, IL. Ms. Sitton married Harold Dean Sitton on April 20, 1951 in Edwardsville, IL; he preceded on January 12, 1983. She had worked as a switch board operator and in the business office at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. Ms. Sitton was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, IL; she was very active in the women’s organization of the church, which provides funeral dinners as well as many other projects, she was an Elder of the church; Ms. Sitton sang in the church choir for over 50 years; she loved to read and spend time with her family and grandchildren. She had lived in Edwardsville, IL; Riverside, CA until 1952; Hillsboro, IL during her lifetime.
Ms. Sitton is survived by her children, Sandra (husband, Bill) Kloss of Villa Grove, IL; Robb Sitton of Springfield, IL; and Doug (wife, Dawn) Sitton of Belleville, IL; Son-In-Law: Mark Noyes of Hillsboro, IL; Nine Grandchildren and Thirteen Great-Grandchildren; One sister, Barbra Popp of St. Charles, MO; One Niece and One Nephew; Ms. Sitton was preceded by her parents, Arthur and Hannah (Dustman) Fiegenbaum; her husband, Harold Dean Sitton; daughter, Debra Lynn Noyes; and Brother in Law, Donald Popp
