Marian E. (Stone) Holcomb

Marian Holcomb, 87, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 4:02 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL. Private family graveside services will be held at Wares Grove Cemetery, Rural Butler, IL.  Burial will take place in Wares Grove Cemetery, Rural Butler, IL.  Bruce Holcomb, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.

Mrs. Holcomb was born on January 12, 1932 in Scottville, IL to the late Roland and Leona (Butcher) Stone.  She worked as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service.  She married Edward E. Holcomb on March 15, 1952 in Girard, IL and he survives in Hillsboro, IL.

Mrs. Holcomb is survived by a daughter, Donna Ekiss of Springfield, IL; two grandchildren, Susanne Osmonson and Dana Huff; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ann Brewer; and two brothers, Albert Stone and Richard Stone.

Mrs. Holcomb was also preceded in death by five siblings.
