Lisa Caye Menghini

Lisa Caye Menghini, 62, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 6:15 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Van Burensburg, IL. Cremation rites were accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Menghini was born on December 13, 1959 in Hillsboro, IL to the late Dennis “Denny Moe” Seaton and Janielle Ann (Frkovich) Seaton. She was a 1978 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL. She worked for the Journal News in Hillsboro, IL and Lee’s Tire Mart in Hillsboro, IL. She married Ronald Menghini on June 11, 1988 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, IL; he survives in Hillsboro, IL. She lived in Taylor Springs, IL and Hillsboro, IL during her lifetime. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, IL and belonged to a group of high school friends that called themselves the Scum Queens and Sea Haggs. She loved to read, cross stitch, going to the movies and was an avid LA Dodgers fan. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Mrs. Menghini is survived by her husband, Ronald; her children, Benjamin (wife Blakeley) Menghini of De Pere, WI and Denee (husband Benjamin) Bowers of St. Louis, MO; one granddaughter, Riley Joy Bowers; and two siblings, Mark Seaton of Hillsboro, IL and Kelli (husband Russ) Jones of Hillsboro, IL.

Memorials may be given to the Hillsboro Library or the Montgomery County Cancer Association (MCCA).
