Leroy F Hartel

Leroy Franklin Hartel, 82, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 4:15 a.m., at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL.  Private funeral services will be held.  Burial will be in Clear Springs Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Hartel was born April 13, 1941, in Missouri, to the late Louis & Dorothy F. (Williamson) Hartel.  He married Rebecca Morgan on December 24, 1966 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL and she survives in Hillsboro, IL.  Mr. Hartel was a veteran of the Army and was retired from Hillsboro Glass Factory in Hillsboro, IL, where he was a repairman in the hot end.  He had lived his adult life in Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Hartel is survived by his wife, Rebecca Hartel of Hillsboro, IL; one daughter, Deborah K. Hartel of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Addam W. Delisle, Hope Aull & Heather Aull and three great grandchildren.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon Hartel & Earl Hartel and three sisters, Maxine Meier, Shirley Boyd and Marlene Parks.
