Kenneth Brown, 85, of Coffeen, IL passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 12:50 a.m. at his residence in Coffeen, IL. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore, IL. Family and Friends may meet at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home on January 14, 2020 at 10:45 a.m. to proceed to Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore, IL. Pastor Danny White of Coffeen, IL will officiate, and burial will take place in Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore, IL
Mr. Brown was born on January 25, 1934 in Fillmore, IL to the late Audra Brown. He worked as a farmer, milk hauler, telephone lineman, and he was a construction worker. Mr. Brown married Janet Howard, later divorced; Donna Clark, later divorced; and Jean Chumley on December 31, 1988 on New Year’s Eve; she survives in Coffeen, IL. Mr. Brown was a member of the Coffeen Lions Club; Beef Producers Association; Montgomery County Farm Bureau; he was known for his sense of humor and quick wit; instead of memorials he requested for those so inclined to have a beverage at their favorite “watering hole.” Mr. Brown lived in Fillmore, IL and Coffeen, IL throughout his life.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Jean Brown of Coffeen, IL; his children, Debra (Brown) Drobnack, Karen (husband, Jeff) Woods, Lee Brown, and Crystal (husband, Mike) Rivali; as well as seven grandchildren, Nickolas & Cameron Rivali; Whitney & Sarah Drobnack; Dylan & Skylar Woods; and Lillie Brown; along with one great-grandchild. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his mother Audra (Brown) Toberman, and his stepfather, Lewey Toberman.
Memorials may be given to St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
