Karen Ann (Maroney) Vunetich

Karen Ann Vunetich, 55, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.  Cremation rites were accorded and a private family memorial service will be held.

Mrs. Vunetich was born on December 10, 1965, in Lowell, MA, to Thomas F. & Lorraine (Hayes) Maroney.  She was a 1984 Graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, IL.  She married Chuck Vunetich on May 6, 1989, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro, IL.  He survives in Hillsboro, IL.  Mrs. Vunetich was a Pharmacy Technician at John’s Pharmacy in Hillsboro, IL. She loved her family very much and she loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed gardening, playing with her dogs, as well as playing games such as pool, darts, and bunko.  Mrs. Vunetich had lived in Taylor Springs, IL; Panama, IL and Hillsboro, IL during her lifetime.

Along with her husband, Chuck Vunetich, Mrs. Vunetich is survived by her mother, Lorraine Maroney of Hillsboro, IL; her three daughters, Lauryn Vunetich of Greenville, IL; Carly Vunetich of Carlinville, IL and Halle Vunetich of Hillsboro, IL and her sister, Pam Maroney (companion, Scott Knight) of Panama, IL. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas F. Maroney, on August 19, 2010.
