Judith Fae Bertram, 81, of Cookeville, TN, passed way Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 3:36 a.m. in Cookeville, TN. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church in Coffeen, IL., with the funeral service being Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church in Coffeen, IL. A meal will immediately follow the funeral service at the church. Committal Service will be Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Randy White, Pastor of Open Arms Fellowship in Irving, IL, will officiate the services.
Judith was born April 21, 1942 in Witt, IL, to Wilbur and Nelma (Whitlock) Calame, both have preceded. She married Alex Smith and they later divorced. She then married Alvin Bertram in 1989 in Vandalia, IL. He survives at home. They Lived in Cookeville, TN for over 30 years and together they volunteered with Camper on a Mission. She was employed as an office manager in Hillsboro, IL for Dr. Johnson, OD and Ken Meade Photography. While living in California she worked for IDM in the office. Judith enjoyed needlepoint and was a member of the Cookeville Embroidery Club.
Mrs. Bertram is survived by her husband, children, Michael (wife, Jane) Smith of Hillsboro, IL, Sherry Lassiter of Washington State, and step-son Kenneth (wife, Gail) Bertram of Minnesota, seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two grandsons, Jeremy and Christopher.
Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers to Montgomery County Cancer Association.
