Juanita L. Schmedeke-Keiser 93, of Irving, IL, passed away on Monday, March 06, 2023 at 5:20 a.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation in Taylor Springs, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 12:00 noon, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Sue Bryce, Pastor of United Methodist Church of Irving, IL, will officiate. Burial will be held at Irving Cemetery in Irving, IL.
Ms. Schmedeke-Keiser was born on December 14, 1929 to the later Alfred A. and Erblean M. (Geminden) Bailey. She was a high school graduate and went on to become a homemaker. Ms. Keiser was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; UMC Irving; She loved her pet bird “Peanuts”, and she enjoyed gardening and flowers as well as knitting and crocheting. She had married Cecil A Schmedeke on May 14, 1949 in Irving, IL; he preceded in March 1976. She later married Alfred Keiser on August 6, 1983 in Irving, IL; he preceded in July 2014. Ms. Keiser had lived in the Irving area her entire life.
Ms. Schmedeke-Keiser is survived by her sons Kyle (wife Deneta) Schmedeke of Irving, IL and Karis Schmedeke of Irving, IL; grandchildren, Kayden Schmedeke, Kason Schmedeke, Luke Schmedeke, Jacob Schmedeke, and Andrew Schmedeke; and great grandchild, Braiden Schmedeke. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred A. and Erblean M. (Geminden) Bailey; her husbands, Cecil A Schmedeke and Alfred Keiser; her sons, Kent Schmedeke and Kurt Schmedeke; grandson, Christopher Schmedeke; and brothers, Richard Bailey and Robert Bailey.
