John Thomas Ingram, 72, of Speedwell, Tennessee, passed away on September 9, 2024 at 10:18 a.m. at his daughter’s residence, surrounded by his family, in Hillsboro, Illinois. Cremation rites will be accorded and there are no services planned at this time.
John was born on August 29, 1952, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to the late Clifford and Abigail (Sutton) Ingram. Throughout his life, Mr. Ingram lived in the Tennessee or Illinois area and worked as a handyman. He attended a Harley Davidson mechanic school and you could always find him piddling around with cars or building custom Harley Davidson motorcycles.
He is survived by his two children, Amanda (husband, Blake) Thomet of Hillsboro, Illinois and Jaime Simmons of Abingdon, Illinois; two grandchildren; five siblings, James Ingram, Irene Branscomb, Faye Blanchard, Betty Ingram, and Victoria Martens. Mr. Ingram is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Imogene Watson and Barbara Embick.
