John Granger, 76 – Loved to Travel

John Granger, 76, of Hillsboro, IL, died January 23, 2024 at Memorial Hospital of Springfield, IL No services will be preformed. John was buried in Wares Grove Cemetery, Butler, IL

John was born November 13, 1947 to Ned and Mary (Yaeger) Granger. He was co-owner of Yaeger Clothing Store, a family owned business. He later worked at McDonald’s of Litchfield. He also went on to be dietary manager of Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care, where he met Janice Marcolini, the love of his life. Together they shared 21 wonderful years of travel and memories. They visited 44 states, went on 9 cruises, and saw many lighthouses together. It’s a love without end.

He is survived by Janice Marcolini, his loving daughter, Alicia (Nels) Carlson and sister, Molly (Harry) Cole. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ben.
