Joan Alice (Stubblefield) Shehane, 82, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 6:16 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL. Cremation rites were accorded and no services are to be held at this time.

Mrs. Shehane was born on March 27, 1939 in Chicago, IL to the late Henry and Alice (Kittir) Stubblefield. She was a high school graduate. Mrs. Shehane went on to marry Jerry Shehane, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Shehane was a housewife and homemaker, and she had lived in Chicago, IL and Coffeen, IL during her lifetime. 

Mrs. Shehane is survived by her children, Charlie Shehane of Washington; Shawn (wife Misung) Shehane of Florida; Jay (wife, Janice) Shehane of Litchfield, IL; and Susan (husband, Jim) Middleton of Coffeen, IL; grandchildren, Allison Akre, Austin Akre, Abigail Akre, Hannah Shehane, and Connor Shehane; and her brother, Don Stubblefield. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Shehane was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Shehane and her siblings Ed Stubblefield, George Stubblefield, and Bernadine Engle.
