JoAnn Grace (Halleman) Hampton

JoAnn Grace Hampton, 81, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at 6:38 a.m., at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL.    A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.   Memorial services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL.  Cremation rites were accorded.

Mrs. Hampton was born on May 13, 1939, in Walshville Township, IL, to the late Theodore C. & Martha (Durbin) Halleman.  She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in HIllsboro, IL and was a cook at many area restaurants.  She married Joe Hampton and they later divorced.  Mrs. Hampton loved to do needle point, word searches and to cook.  She had lived in Hillsboro, IL most of her life.

Mrs Hampton is survived one son, Lance Hampton of Greenville, IL; three grandchildren, Trishia Hampton, Tyler Hampton & Tristine Hampton; three great grandchildren; one brother, Larry Dale Halleman of Witt, IL and one sister, Helen Halleman Cook of Florida.  Along with her parents, Mrs. Hampton was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Halleman; three brothers and one sister.
