Jay Russell Foland, 63, from Hillsboro, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Hillsboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born 7/01/1961 in Fort Pierre, South Dakota, to Gary Neil Foland and Irma Marie (Magnusson) of Hillsboro, Illinois.

Schooling: Gardner Grade School and Gardner-South Wilmington High School (GSW), graduated Class of 1979. Married Lisa (m. 1997, d. 2013), 1 child (boy) Dakota Luke, 26 (b. 1998). Trade - Tile layer and designer and owner of Foland Flooring in Morris, Illinois, home construction and bartender. Favorite hobbies - Anything sci-fi and space, golf, Tom Clancy, Western movies, Sports. Jay was a kind, loving person and he adored his son very much. Jay had many close friends, and they loved his company and enjoyed sharing laughs. He was a wonderful son and loving brother. Jay will be remembered and missed by everyone he met. Proceeded in death by his father Gary Neil Foland (d. 6/01/2015), his grandparents Lloyd R. Magnusson, (d. 1988), Ida Louise (Sudlow), (d. 1993), Earl Wilson Foland, (d. 1987), Phyllis Lorraine (Brown), (d. 1961), 3 Uncles, and 2 Aunts.

Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Illinois, is in charge of arrangements.
