James “Jim” A. Hartman, 65, of Irving, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at 7:02 a.m. at Heritage Health, Pana, IL. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Irving Cemetery, Irving, IL. Burial will take place in Irving Cemetery, Irving, IL. Rev. William Cox, Pastor of Christian Church of Witt, Witt, IL, will officiate.
Mr. Hartman was born on November 29, 1954 in Hillsboro, IL to the late Thomas Columbus and Clara (Reck) Hartman. He was a 1973 graduate of Hillsboro High School, Hillsboro, IL and worked on the railroad for NY Central and retired from CXS. Mr. Hartman lived in Irving, IL and Vandalia, IL during his lifetime. He married Tammi Hefley and they later divorced. He married Ann Logue and they later divorced. Mr. Hartman was a member of the Railroad Union.
Mr. Hartman is survived by three children, Travis Hartman, Gina Hartman, and Jamie Hartman; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, William (wife Carol) Hartman, Dennis (wife Carolyn) Hartman, and Rodney (wife Mary Lou) Hartman; and one sister, Cindy (husband Fred) Shipley.
Mr. Hartman was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Bayleigh Hartman; and two brothers, Thomas Hartman in infancy, and Larry Hartman.
Memorials may be given to Christian Church of Witt, Witt, IL.
