Jacquelyn Joanne (Singleterry) Carroll, 89, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 4:18 p.m. at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab in Taylor Springs, IL. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, IL. Rev. Randy Sands, Pastor of Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro, IL will officiate. Burial will take place in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield, IL.
Mrs. Carroll was born on April 3, 1933 in Fairfield, IL to the late Erma (Davis) Singleterry. She married Everett Carroll on December 22, 1949 in Butler, IL; they had been married for 70 years, he preceded her in death on September 22, 2021. Mrs. Carroll was a farm-wife all of her married life. She was a member of Women of the Moose; she enjoyed cooking-homemade noodles and pies were her specialty; her hobbies included: Gardening, Canning, Knitting, Crocheting, Puzzles, and Quilting.
Along with her mother, Erma (Davis) Singleterry and her husband, Everett Carroll, Mrs. Carroll was preceded by her son, Randy Carroll; son-in-law, Steven Traylor; brother, Gerald Singleterry; sister-in-law, Violet Singleterry; and her stepfather. She is survived by her children, James (wife, Ruth) Carroll, Stanley Carroll, Nancy Traylor and Tena (husband, John) Burris, all of Hillsboro, IL; her grandchildren, Matt (wife, Jamie) Carroll, Sean (wife, Brandi) Traylor, Randi Traylor, and Rachel Burris; and her great-grandchildren, Landon Carroll, Liam Traylor, and Kolton Traylor.
