Jack L Fox

Jack L. Fox 89, of Litchfield, IL formerly of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 5:23 a.m. at his residence. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillboro, IL.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 1:30 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillboro, IL.  Rev. Jeff Hemken, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL, will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in HIllsboro, IL.

Mr. Fox was born on May 25, 1931 in Glendale, IL. The son of Georgia Fox, Mr. Fox was raised by his grandparents, George and Flora Fox. Mr. Fox was a United States Air Force Veteran. Mr. Fox married Doris Smith in Coraopolis, PA on October 31, 1953, and she survives in Litchfield, IL.  He had worked for CIPS for 40 years working in power plants; he retired as an electrical engineer. .He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, IL and IBEW & Operators Engineer Union.  Mr. Fox had lived in Metropolis, IL; Effingham, IL; Hillsboro, IL and Litchfield, IL during his lifetime.

Mr. Fox is survived by his wife, Doris (Smith) Fox of Litchfield, IL; his children, George Michael (wife Catherine) Fox of Longview, WA; Marcia Elaine (husband Tony) Liebscher of Hillsboro, IL; Steve Allen (wife Regina) Fox of Charleston, IL; Tami Lynn (husband Timothy) Lewis of Charleston, IL; ten grandchildren, Jessica Fox Sorenson, Erik Fox, Carrie McCormick, Nicolo Casarta, Paul Liebscher, Melana Damm, Leslie Taggert, Sarah Grissom, Allison Tharp, Evan Fox, Ashley Gardewine Obia, Emily Schnabel; fifteen great grandchildren; two nephews; and sister, Barbara Sue Miller of Moline, IL. Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Fox Clanahan, and his grandparents, George and Flora Fox.
